Canada is known as mini Punjab and the nation has a Punjabi heart too. We are not wrong when we say that. A recent Twitter thread, that went viral is a testimony for what we just are saying.

Twitter user and Journalist, Muhammad Lila recently tweeted about a Canadian Sikh man who was an immigrant and arrived in Canada in the ’80s.

67-year-old, Nav Bhatia is the biggest fan of the Canadian basketball club Raptors. This brown turbaned guy has been to every single Raptors home game since 1995.

Muhammad, while telling Nav’s life story, talks about his hardships in life and what kind of racism he has faced because of his colour. He also talks about how he overcame all those hardships and how he is giving back to other immigrants now.

Muhammad tweeted, “With the #Raptors about to hit the global stage, I’m going to share a story about what makes Toronto, and Canada, so special. It’s about a guy you’re going to be seeing a whole lot of.

A Thread.

(Hint: It’s about racism, sports, and why you’ll end up cheering for)”
